A Handful of Awesomeness
Today is a good day so far.
I was treated to lunch by my friend Aims — she works at a technical college, and the culinary program there runs a bistro. Our waiter was young and new and mumbly, and it was just as amusing an experience as I expected. Plus, the food was pretty darned good. Thanks, Aims!
Then I went to dealer school, where I’m progressing rapidly. So far I’ve put in 24 hours … the base that most people are expected to complete is 60. But one girl there has put in over 120 so far, and … I’m better than her. Very sad for her. I’m going to ask for an evaluation next week, so I know what areas I need to work on. I can already tell you that I need to work on Blackjack payouts (figuring the 3-to-2) and Pai Gow payouts (taking the 5% commission), but I’m getting faster at calculating both.
Then I got home and finally got an email back that I was expecting. While in Chicago, I’ll be auditioning in the Walt Disney World auditions for comedic improv actors. Even if I don’t kick ass, it’ll still be an awesome experience (and it gives me something to do with my Saturday in Chicago).
